What is naseba seven?

"…but you have to make it happen"

naseba seven is one man's personal challenge to complete one iron-distance triathlon every day for seven consecutive days across the seven Emirates of the UAE.

That's 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling and 42.6 km of running – every day for one whole week.

The UAE General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare is endorsing and supporting the challenge.

Last year Scott Ragsdale's goal was to swim the English Channel – and he made it happen. This year his aim is to see if he can stay consistent and focused enough to get himself – at the age of 40 - in the best physical shape of his life and complete naseba seven.

Too many people have dreams, but they do nothing to try and make their dreams happen…

Stop wasting your time sitting around thinking about what you're gonna do tomorrow, and get up, do the necessary preparation and start going after your goal now.

Scott's 40th birthday challenge coincides with the UAE's 40th anniversary and will finish in Abu Dhabi around the National Day celebrations.

It also officially forms part of these celebrations – having been recognised by the National Day Committee as an event that appropriately commemorates the unity of the country

"Ideally, people who hear about my challenge will reflect on themselves; reflect on their own goals and dreams.

A dream or goal means nothing if you don't make the necessary preparation and effort and go after it – and go after it until the end."
